Wells Adams is spilling the tea on what it was like filming The Traitors with Tom Sandoval.
“I don’t think I’d met him before,” Adams, 40, shared on the Tuesday, January 28, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous” podcast. “It’s funny because he’s like a Housewife where he talks so much, and you’re like, ‘Dude, does this ever stop? Is he ever gonna stop talking?’”
In season 3 of The Traitors, both Sandoval, 42, and Adams were picked as Faithful members who were tasked with determining which costars were the Traitors.
While Adams was murdered early on in the game, Sandoval continues to compete.

Tom Sandoval may not be a Traitor but his fellow contestants still had their suspicions about his behavior on season 3 of The Traitors. The season started with Sandoval asking to be a Faithful — to the surprise of Us and fellow viewers. Sandoval was still hit with digs about his controversial past when host […]
“He was really wanting to figure out who the Traitors were,” Adams shared with hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti Haibon. “He just wasn’t very good at it or isn’t very good at it now. Who knows how things will go going forward.”
Adams admitted that he shares the same manager as Sandoval and was “familiar” with the headlines surrounding the Bravo star. (After cheating on longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix with her close friend Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, Sandoval became the center of Scandoval on Vanderpump Rules.)
When scoping out the cast of The Traitors, Adams predicted that producers wouldn’t give Sandoval the opportunity to be a Traitor.

“I remember thinking, ‘All right, if I’m producing this TV show, these are the people that I want to make Traitors,’” Adams shared. “I remember thinking it would be way too on the nose to make America’s biggest villain a villain again. That makes no sense. So I remember being like, ‘I know you’re not a Traitor, dude.’”
Adams said his strategy was to single out people who he thought didn’t have a chance of being a Traitor. The thought process, however, was met with some hesitation from certain costars, including Survivor alum Tony Vlachos.
“I remember Tony — who is a homicide detective — in the roundtable … gave me crap for this way of thinking, and I was like, ‘Tony, you’re a cop. Isn’t the No. 1 thing when a crime is committed is to figure out who’s got an alibi so they can be out of the investigation? What are you talking about?’ And he didn’t really have a very good response for that.”
Vlachos, 51, was also murdered by the Traitors early on in the season.

Regardless of what fans think about Sandoval, Adams is curious to see how far he lasts in the competition.
“Tom Sandoval was just kind of everything that you would expect Tom Sandoval to be,” he said. “He didn’t cheat on anybody there.”
New episodes of The Traitors will be released on Peacock Thursdays until March 6.
