The Amazing Race Season 37: Cast, Locations, New Twists

On your mark, get set — The Amazing Race is back and season 37 is going to be bigger and better than ever.
The upcoming season, which premieres on CBS Wednesday, March 5, has expanded to include 14 teams in its race around the world. Prior seasons featured a range of 11 to 13 teams, which makes season 37 its biggest cast in the show’s history. Amongst the competitors are couples, friends, family members and more.
As the pairs travel around the world, they’ll visit a variety of countries including Hong Kong, Japan, France, Portugal, and the United Arab Emirates. For the first time in the series history, racers will also complete a leg in Bulgaria.
In addition to having more contestants and visiting new destinations, The Amazing Race is mixing things up by adding “game-changing twists in every episode” per a press release. Iconic staples like the Fast Forward and U-Turn will return.

However, the competition series, which is hosted by Phil Keoghan, is introducing a new game mechanic called the Fork in the Road which will be introduced during the first leg in Hong Kong. The Fork in the Road will challenge players to decide which specific route they want to take to the Pit Stop, which will ultimately create two parallel races where two teams will be eliminated.
Like prior seasons, The Amazing Race will continue with 90-minute episodes for season 37.
The Amazing Race premieres on CBS Wednesday, March 5, at 9:30 pm ET. Keep scrolling to meet the Amazing Race season 37 cast:
