So fetch!
Twenty years after they first played Cady Heron and Gretchen Wieners, Mean Girls stars Lindsay Lohan and Lacey Chabert effortlessly slid back into their iconic roles to recreate a scene from the teen comedy on the Wednesday, November 20, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
Even host Andy Cohen got in on the action by playing Rachel McAdams’ Regina George — while wearing The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak’s actual wig. (The same wig Sarah Paulson recently wore to recreate Heather Gay’s equally iconic “Receipts! Proof! Timeline!” monologue.)
Lohan, 38, and Chabert, 42, recited lines from one of the lunchroom scenes from Mean Girls in which the Plastics — Regina, Gretchen and Karen Smith (played by Amanda Seyfried) — explain the rules of high school to Cady. However, Regina is more preoccupied with the calories in her Kälteen bars.

Mean Girls debuted in theaters on April 30, 2004 — but the teen film is celebrated annually on October 3, thanks to one of the movie’s most memorable scenes. The film is responsible for creating iconic lines including, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” and “Is butter a carb?” But when Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett) innocently […]
“Having lunch with the Plastics was like leaving the actual world and entering Girl World,” Lohan recited, immediately taking Us back to 2004. “And Girl World had a lot of rules.”
Chabert channeled Gretchen once more as she told Lohan’s Cady, “You can’t wear a tank top two days in a row, and you can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week. Oh, and we always vote before we ask someone to eat lunch with us. I mean, you wouldn’t buy a skirt first without asking your friends if it looks good on you.”
Cohen, 56, for his part, did Oscar nominee McAdams justice with his portrayal of Regina George. “This queen will be playing queen bee, Regina George,” he declared as he donned Zolciak’s wig.

“I’m getting cheese fries,” Cohen, as Regina, read out one of the movie’s many memorable lines during the sketch.
Suddenly, we want to watch Mean Girls again.
The original Mean Girls cast has long discussed a sequel to the 2004 hit, though so far, fans have had to settle for a musical remake of the original that was released earlier this year.
“That would be my dream to come back and film a sequel to Mean Girls,” Lohan said during an April 2020 appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. “I think there definitely is momentum towards it.”

In November 2023, Chabert, Lohan and Seyfried teamed up for a Mean Girls-themed Walmart Black Friday ad. Chabert told TODAY.com that the experience was “like stepping back in time” and said she would “of course be open” to a sequel.
McAdams was the only member of the Plastics who didn’t participate in the commercial. In December 2023, she told Variety why she’d skipped the gig.
“I guess I wasn’t that excited about doing a commercial if I’m being totally honest,” she said. “I’ve never done commercials, and it just didn’t feel like my bag.”

McAdams added that she wasn’t aware so many of her former costars were involved.
“I didn’t know that everyone was doing it. I would, of course, always love to be part of a Mean Girls reunion and hang with my Plastics, but yeah, I found that out later,” she said.
